What are we fundraising for?
As well as fundraising to subsidise team fees we want to bless Compassion, the children we sponsor and the projects they are a part of.
So far, we hope to be able to raise funds for:
Child Survival Programme
A Compassion project close to Sarah’s heart. Compassion aim to reach the most vulnerable children even before they have been born. They provide antenatal care for vulnerable mothers, ensure children are vaccinated against deadly diseases and give mothers the skills they need to earn a living. Their aim is to give children the very best right from the start of their lives. Please speak with Sarah for more first hand information.
Gifts for our children
Members of Lifehouse Church sponsors 64 children and we would like to ensure that each of our sponsored children are blessed by our visit (and their families and communities).
Fun Day
We have been recently informed that part of our itinerary will be a ‘Fun Day’ for our sponsored children and the cost for this event will be covered by us/Lifehouse.
How can you get involved?
Can Collecting
We have the collecting bins and we are ready to launch our can collecting – aluminum drink cans. The cost is 55p per a kilo which is 65 – 70 cans (we’ve got to collect a lot of cans!!).
Ghana Fun Day – Saturday 2 September
We will hold a fun day with various stalls, food, games and a car wash.
The Ghana Gala – TBC
An upmarket Gala event where we will put on an evening of entertainment, the work of Compassion, dance and good traditional ‘Ghanaian food’.
